Hey all! As we step into the halfway point of 2024 (Which is a crazy thing to think about), the team wanted to give an update!
Since ending the hiatus...
We've re-balanced all of the cards
We've started up play-testing
We've created the rough draft of Encore Set 1
We've started up activity on Social Media
We've held an in-person event
And that's just the start!
All that said, people have been rightfully curious as to our new launch plans. The team has had many discussions about this matter, and we've come to a consensus.
While a date is not decided, we will be attempting another crowdfunding campaign. As we've switched to an ECG model, the overall cost and goal should be MUCH more attainable this time around!
Additionally, and likely more of interest for the time being, we've decided to do a 'soft-launch' of sorts before the campaign! This pre-release will be a bundle of two Deck Catalogs: Amari and Kubrakan!
We've decided this for two primary reasons. First and foremost, we want to get cards into your hands as soon as possible, even if it's not in the product's final form. Second, we want as much artwork done as possible prior to crowdfunding, as this will A: Lower the overall costs for you and B: Shorten the time between the campaign and getting cards to the printers. The small amount of profit we'd make from these bundles will go directly to our artists.
The bundle will be short-printed, and limited to 30 copies. This is not a ploy to drive up demand, it's simply what we feel we can afford at this time. We currently don't have a launch date for these bundles, but we'll lay out the variables that will go into it:
First, we need to finish up the artwork for these two decks. There are currently 8 more cards that need artwork, and we have 2 of said cards currently being worked on by our artists. During this time, we are also focusing our play-testing on these two decks in particular.
Second is, as always, funding itself. The whole team is contributing what they can towards artwork and printing costs but we're currently short roughly $1200. If you feel so inclined, our donation page is still open to help speed up this process. To be clear, this will be happening regardless of community donations, it will just take time.
Once the bundles are printed, they will be available via the homepage, or at any in-person events we may attend for $35.
